Tonking is a UK-registered home and garden brand creating thoughtfully designed, handcrafted pieces for modern farmhouses, urban homes and everyday living.

We are proudly based in East London, a vibrant and multicultural part of the city where independent businesses, creative communities and different traditions come together. The encouragement we have received here has helped shape Tonking into a small brand with an international outlook and a deeply personal approach.

Our collections include coasters, placemats, serving pieces, fruit and salad bowls, and woven storage baskets. Each item is made primarily by hand using natural materials associated with Southeast Asian craftsmanship, including bamboo, wood, grass, wicker and mother-of-pearl.

Born in London and rooted in the Far East, Tonking brings together two complementary influences: the simplicity and practicality of modern British interiors, and the warmth, patience and artistry of traditional Asian craftsmanship.
 
We believe that good homeware should be beautiful without being extravagant, useful without feeling ordinary, and made with care to remain part of the home for years to come. Our design and production teams bring more than 10 years of experience to every collection, carefully considering proportion, function, material and finish.
